Established in 1985, the "Pays d'art et d'histoire" label is awarded by the Minister of

Culture to municipalities that commit to raising awareness among residents, visitors, and

young audiences about the quality of heritage, architecture, and living environments. In

this context, the municipalities of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Ciboure received the Pays d'Art

et d'Histoire label in 2016.

Ciboure.

information about their history and specific features.
